Checking out the gameplay video and hot damn those squishy noises the ghoulies are making are cool!
Love the flaming hammer
I await this now, more so than GW2 perhaps, as it probably won't be made by a company that in two years will say 'We're working on GW3'.

Yes I know what a mirror is, but I would wonder why you would even bother now? The blizzard site has already taken the huge onslaught of french/everywhere else folk who attakced it this morning with massive hits, and it is running flawlessly now. There is pretty much no reason when the stuff on the site works just fine, and leads with the rest of the info like the journal, class descriptions, features, etc.

Very funny, I thought exactly the same about your comment: why bother? And I just thought the thrust of the thread was to watch it, not play PvP in the forum.
You /winthread. Happy now?

Like SC2, D3 looks very, very cool. But I'm sure Anet is going to show us something VERY special...

IF D3 is not pay to play, Anet will have to focus more on PVP in GW2. PvP in Diablo was always dumb. Stupid earfields as far as the eye could see...

You are really bad and I hope you stop trolling me. You are a pretty terrible poster if you took what I said and dissected it into some petty PvE vs PvP bridge from the past which you also took against me in a completely terrible way because you have some stupid idea that everything to a PvPer is about winning. I didn't say anything related to PvP at all, nor anything about winning threads, I just merely stated a fact: The Blizzard site is working flawlessly, there is no reason to point out mirrors.

I wonder if they will add the option of respeccing your character since it isn't in Diablo or Diablo II. I hate having to make a new character to use a different build.

Good advice - watch the gameplay video. If other 3 characters have as great skills and combat maneuvers as Barbarian and Witch Doctor, plus the plot will be cool, quest system will work and the requirements will be low... We'll have another instant-hit from Blizzard.
Video for people that don't like diablo3.com loading times.

I hate to say it, but D3 looks more of the same. Nothing new tacked onto it (gameplay wise), therfore I don’t think I will be getting it. I have played enough hack-&-slash RPG’s, so my high expectations on this would literally kill this game.

Looking at the gameplay itself I say that what came from the nineties should have stayed in the nineties.
Spamclick to kill stuff and keep one finger on the health potion, or wait for healthdrops. Did anybody notice the chipped topaz in the video? You can add "grind you heart out" to the list of features. If it wasn't a Blizzard game then the reviews would annihilate this game.

Uhm. 3D, physics, destructible environment, new graphics ofc, better way to access skills, faster action, probably more than 8 players on B.Net, better traps, unpredictable events (like that falling wall - that was pretty surprising), mercenaries that can be hired by a quest, not from an NPC, better looking armors (no more clones), all genders have all professions...
And it was announced TODAY. Why you didn't say ,,it looks so bad, God, we don't know even about the gameplay, classes and all'' when they announced GW2 for the first time? Oo
Besides, it's Blizzard. They are like Halve - no bad games yet. And the only bad game was cancelled, Starcraft: Ghost for consoles.
To clarify - Insurrection: Campaigns for Starcraft wasn't made by blizz. Neither was Diablo: Hellfire.

1996 called, they want their game back...
I guess if something works, don't change it, you'll still rack in the millions.
I'll still probably play it, but am somewhat underwhelmed after seeing the gameplay footage.

Look, I understand your point. However, for this game taking as long as it has it generally makes you expect something new. First, I have played around with hack & slash games since the Gauntlet series to the most recent Titan Quest stuff. So to me, the hack & slash RPG’s have become more like a drawn out cliché FPS genre which has not been truly reinvented over last couple of years. Speaking of FPS I would like to bring up Doom 3 which completely almost killed my expectations on that specific genre. It was practically the same thing and I was hyped up about that. This finally led to most of the fan base to being severely disappointed. I could even bring up the same argument about Neverwinter Nights 2 and so on.
Diablo 3 reminds me of the hype I was feeling about Doom 3 back in the day (minus the hellish similarities). Yes, I understand the genres are completely different but Blizzard has turn into a studio, which does nothing anymore to reinvent itself.
Nevertheless, that’s my point of view on the matter. I know most people enjoy more the of the same when it comes to things like this. Don’t get me wrong since I continually have a knack for playing sequels (expansions), but sometimes things have to much of a déjà vu effect on it.
